I moved from North Salem N.Y. to Estes Park in the fall of 1980, which makes me about as close to a native as you will find in Estes Park. I spent most of my early years in town working in the restaurant/bar industry, although when I first arrived I was in the firewood business. After almost 15 years of keeping locals and tourists alike from getting too thirsty, I decided to start up a new business. Thus, Mike's Tree Service came into existence. I ran the Tree Service for just shy of ten years, working mostly in the Estes Valley, but also traveling as far as Denver and Grand Lake to serve the needs of customers. Needless to say, I am not only very familiar with the Estes Valley and surrounding areas, but also the Front Range as a whole.
My beautiful wife, "Dr. C"
In 2000, I married my best friend, Marie "Dr. C" Cenac, and we began our family. We have two beautiful children, Nathan and Alexis. My wife, who is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, and I own and operate the Animal Hospital of the Rockies and the Animal House Pet Boarding. Not only can we find you a home in Estes, but we can also take care of your pet needs once you arrive!

By 2006, I was ready for one final career change - to being a Real Estate Broker. With much encouragement from my wife and friends, I attended Jones Real Estate College in Denver where I graduated summa cum laude (okay, just kidding) and procured a Real Estate Brokers License from the State of Colorado. Shortly afterward, I began working at First Colorado Realty, here in Estes Park.
In 2007, I was honored to be named the Estes Park Board of Realtor's Rookie of the Year (opens a PDF file). Also, our GMAC office is consistently recognized as one of the top GMAC offices in the nation, and I received the Premier Service Diamond Award for outstanding customer service. Most recently, I received the Quality Service Certified Platinum award, in recognition of 100% customer satisfaction in 2007 and again in 2008 (PDF files).
1st Colorado Realty is in the top fifty nationwide for offices our size (10 or less). Top 3 GCI and top 6 closed units in the nation--130 closed units!
I currently serve on the Estes Park Volunteer Fire Department and as a director on the Board of the Estes Valley Recreation and Park District. I enjoy almost all sports and love to coach basketball and baseball, with soccer on the near horizon. I have also served on the Fire Department Board in Glen Haven and the Rodeo Committee of Estes Park.
